New: Fax server support on voice

Soon there will be an update available, this may also fax the voice server process.

Demo Updated Server

New: Monitoring charts

From now on SYN-3 also graphs of your system resources:


It is possible your disk usage, disk throughput, memory, CPU, network traffic and disk temperatures.

This is just the basic version of this: Soon, even things such as email traffic and asterisk-connections can be monitored. Furthermore you will soon own minimum and / or maximum values that operates an alarm should be.

HAR 2009 meeting

Monitoring client updates

There have been some updates to the SYN-3 monitoring client on Linux.

It is now possible to external script to call. So you could make a sound or an external warning system inschakellen: Example SMS or phone.

SYN-3 version 4.3 rc2 available

There is a 2nd release candidate available in the 4.3 installation CD. This includes some minor improvements in the installer and includes extra hardware.

The CD is here to download. Existing 4.3 users can simply update - a reinstallation is needed.

 

Hardware support: Intel Gigabit network cards

Certain types of Dell Optiplex machines have a network card that was not supported. (including the Intel Corporation 82567LM-3 Gigabit Network Connection) Since this card is now supported. (via the e1000e driver)

The following installation CD (4.3 rc2) will this card standard. If you update to 4.3 you can now install the driver. Updating can of course only if the machine on the Internet through another network card.

 

Updating to 4.3?

Recently, much news about version 4.3 of SYN-3. The test period of the updates is almost complete: Soon we roll out the final updates.

Do you already use the new features of 4.3? Then you can already update: This is done through the advanced options to turn in the SCC. You will get an additional menu to the updates, you can select version 4.3. (See the help page for updates.)

VPN tunnel monitoring

Now it is possible to IPSEC VPN tunnels to actively monitor and restart at a fault.

This is especially in a poor connection or routers that occasional problems: Every minute there is a connection check done using a ping. Is the connection road, then you get a message through the SYN-3 monitoring system and be tried once again to build the tunnel.

This update is available in SYN-3 version 4.3.

 

SYN-3 Version 4.3 available

It's so far: The first release candidate of SYN-3 version 4.3 is available. We expect this version within a short time can be declared stable.
