Limiting Internet usage

Discover how you can use SYN-3 to restrict access to the Internet.

With SYN-3 limit the Internet use of your employees or students.

SYN-3 also contains an intelligent content filter that can determine whether a site is sex-related and should be blocked.

Block specific programs

With the SYN-3 firewall you can block the use of  programs like MSN or Skype.

Also the use of download programs for music and movies can be blocked.

Blocking certain sites

You can use SYN-3 to block access to certain sites (called a black list)

Only allow certain sites

If you want even stricter filtering, you can also use SYN-3 to only allow certain sites. The rest of the Internet will be inaccessible.

Control Internet per user or per group

Sometimes it is desirable to access or block Internet only for certain departments or users. This is possible with Syn-3.

This kind of access control can even be done for the users and groups in your existing Microsoft Active Directory environment.


Time-dependent filtering

Its even possible to control Internet access at certain times.

This way you could allow full Internet access during lunch hours.
