Read external mailboxesIn Windows this is called a 'pop3 connector'. This makes it possible to let SYN-3 connect to external existing IMAP and POP3 mailboxes and import the mails. SYN-3 checks for new mail every 5 minutes and can deliver the mail to your SYN-3 mailboxes. | ![]() |
Anti-spamEach SYN-3 server has a self learning spam filter. The end users can drag the mails between their Spam- and their in-box, to correct any errors. The filter learns and adapts to these corrections per user. | ![]() |
BlacklistThe filter also uses DNS blacklists to block known spam servers. This already blocks more than 50% of spam mail, without bothering the user. | |
Anti-VirusFinally, virus mails and 'phishing attacks' are blocked by the server. Every hour the virus scanner is automatically with the latest virus definitions. | ![]() |
QuotasStandard Syn-3 mailboxes have unlimited capacity. You can also adjust the size of mailboxes in order to save space and resources. | ![]() |
Email archivingIn some industries it is necessary to store all incoming and outgoing mail traffic to an archive. On request, we can configure your SYN-3 server for you this way. This method of archiving complies to the regulations of the American, German and Swiss governments. | ![]() |
